#URBANREGENERATION, The future of cities – Workshop: Urban regeneration and major infrastructures
The second event promoted by ITA-ICE involves large and medium-sized public administrations, such as the City of Rome, Turin, and Como, to present the ongoing urban planning strategies. A “call to action” will also be launched for the Capital to envision the city’s future for the coming years. The panel will also feature institutional players like Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, which will talk about its role as an institutional player in its relationships with public administrations, also through the European project InvestEU, and the Agenzia del Demanio, the Italian Public Property Agency, which will discuss a new consultation for transforming a 15-hectare area in Scafati, in the province of Salerno, and its work on city plans in collaboration with public administrations.

ITALIAN CONFERENCE – Property & Infrastructures: Leveraging Italy’s Unique Natural Beauty and Strategic Location
In 2024, Italian commercial real estate reached a total investment volume of approximately 10 billion euros, marking a 60% increase compared to the previous year. It is an excellent result, yet there remains significant growth potential. Currently, it represents only 4% of the European total – a modest share compared to the Italy’s economic weight in Europe, where its GDP accounts for over 14%. In order to meet a growing demand, it is necessary to create new products, with a focus on sustainability, in particular through urban re-generation and the enhancement of infrastructures, which support new attractive locations, especially in the south of the peninsula. This conference will be an opportunity to learn more about the many opportunities that Italy is able to offer throughout the country, also visible on www.investinitalyrealestate.com. The panel will illustrate the valorisation strategies of key public institutional players, focusing on public-private partnership opportunities, and on interesting projects in sectors such as tourism-hospitality, and logistics-digital infrastructures.
