#WATER, The Italian coastline in transformation –Workshop: Waterfront, ports and cities – from north to south
Focus on the waterfront, port relationships, and Mediterranean prominence. Areas of interest also being addressed by the Government through projects related to suburban areas and large infrastructures. Local government officials from major cities working on new visions for urban development with concrete projects capable of activating public-private partnerships will be invited, such as projects like C40’s “Reinventing Cities,” and zero-emission initiatives. Key speakers will include representatives from the Ministry of Defence, regional authorities such as Calabria and Sicily, and the Special Economic Zone for Southern Italy (ZES Unica), which covers territories across eight Southern Italian regions and aims to enhance the South of Italy’s overall competitiveness on the international stage.
