Agenzia del Demanio
The Agenzia del Demanio (the Public Property Agency) is the central authority that manages and enhances the State’s real estate assets, which include 44 thousand assets for a value of 62,8 billion euros. In synergy with the institutions and local authorities, the Agency is committed to the redevelopment of public real estate assets with special attention to urban regeneration, also through public-private partnerships, aiming at energy efficiency, seismic risk and land consumption reduction, with the objective to contributing to the development of the country, thus reducing expenses for the State. At MIPIM 2025 the Agency presents the former gunpowder plant located in the town of Scafati (Province of Salerno), a public complex of great historical-artistic and national value, pertaining to the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, which due to its size, position, and architectural-cultural-agricultural vocation, has all the elements to become the prime player of a development project of great tourist, cultural and social potential. It is a green area ofapproximately 15 hectares on which buildings from different historical periods stand. The Agency aims to involve, right from the planning stages, entrepreneurs and investors interested in partnership operations. To this end, a market consultation notice has been published, which will expire on March 28th, that asks private individuals for ideas and proposals for the development of this real estate complex located in one of the most famous areas in the world.
