PROPERTY
The project represents an investment opportunity for establishing innovative activities proposed by public and private entities within the Tecnopolo Manifattura Data Valley Hub in Bologna (covering a gross floor area of 128,000 square meters), an international digital hub that houses advanced supercomputing capabilities, including the state-of-the-art pre-exascale supercomputer LEONARDO. Co-funded by EuroHPC and CINECA on behalf of the Ministry of Universities and Research, LEONARDO ranks 9th on the Top500 list of the world’s most powerful supercomputers as of November 2024. The operations involve a remediated area designated for the construction of an 11-story office building (“The Tower”) with 15,000 square meters of covered space, as well as the redevelopment of an existing five-story building (“Ballette”), covering 27,000 square meters. The properties are available for innovative activities, including offices, research centers, and executive functions that align with the Tecnopolo’s mission. The total planned investment amounts to €122 million, with 53 expressions of interest already received.
